Lawrence was an inspiring world war one leader who caused havoc amongst the Turkish troops who were attempting to keep the Hejaz railway running through the desert. We know him now as an exceptional writer. His book, ‘Seven Pillars of Wisdom’ is one of the literary classics of the age.
